Cleaning & Painting of 130-foot Radio antenna at MVA Glen Burnie, MD Brawner Contractors.

Eastwood was contacted for a fast track project that was to clean and paint the 130 radio tower. This showed the ability of Eastwood to complete a project within a small window of time that was within two days.

Safety was an issue not just due to height but also due to the tower being operational and integrating the Lock out tag out process.

Maryland State Highway Administration OMT Consolidated Lab & OOC Facility Project N0. AT6155129 Hanover Maryland. This project required the use of specialty coatings as areas of this project included the coating of the Labs and Testing Facility where attention to detail to insure thickness & adhesion was a must.

This project also included the coating of two floors of office space as well as public areas. As this was a fast track project, the challenge of working with other trades bolstered Eastwoods ability to move quickly without a sacrifice in quality. We are proud of the success of this project and forming a lasting relationship with Forrester Contruction Co.

Specialty environmen-friendly was taken by Eastwood to accomplish work needed by BWI in 2005. Eastwood was called upon as MBE to clean floor surfaces at the hourly garage within BWI. Due to EPA restraints, no water from the cleaning could enter the drainage system. In response, Eastwood designed a series of containments new technology in order to satisfy the restraints, as well as a cleaning & filtering system so that it exceeded the parameters of disposable water. Entering a partnership with Maryland Environmental Services, Eastwood was able to contain, clean and remove the waste water that was far beyond the scope of the project.

Maryland Trolley Station

Built in 1906, this historic trolley barn resides in Blackmarsh State Park. DNR's dedication to preservation of landmarks provided Eastwood an opportunity to be part of the preservation of Maryland history. Painstaking attention to detail was the goal of this project with all areas being prepared and painted, with repairs of damaged areas also being performed.

Once completed, the structure was restored to pristine condition, using care in painting. Sitting beside the waters of the bay, it is a testament of how preservation of historic sites can be accomplished with the expertise that companies like Eastwood display daily.

Eastwood was contracted to paint this school in 2002. This work included walls, accoustical ceilings, doors, frames and gyms as well as offices and multi-media center.

This project was completed on time, and to the satisfaction of the owner.

Garrett Courthouse

Restoration and Painting of The Historic Garrett County Courthouse Complex, Oakland, Maryland in 2000, and again in 2007. This contract included restoration and painting of the soffit and facia of the building, and required the finest quality in workmanship and technique.

The job site was especially challenging due to the height of the building and uneveness of the ground around the courthouse. This entailed the use of specially erected scaffolding as well as the use of 50' boom lifts. The scope of work included the preparing & cleaning of the archiectural elements of the builiding, with the coating of the exterior to specifications.

Eastwood was contracted to paint this 14 story building which consisted of residential as well as commercial interiors. Eastwood served as the MBE on this project, with the 14-story building consisting of 221 apartments and commercial spaces.

This project was challenging in that it was on a fast track time table, with Eastwood's working and coordinating with other businesses and trades in meeting an extremely tight schedule. The building was contracted for a 25-week schedule, but was finished within 18 weeks, with exterior work on the top floors also being completed. This project aptly demonstrates Eastwood's resource and managerial abilities without sacrificing quality.

This Project Called for the cleaning and painting of the metal cornice, windows, columns, and all of the decorative details. This was an exciting project for Eastwood in 2002 that presented many challenges, with the height of the Tower amounting to 104 feet high.

Traffic maintenance was also an issue since it is located on a busy main street in the City. Eastwood prides itself with a comprehensive safety program that enables us to protect our workers while completing such jobs. This profitable project was completed on time, without incident and without any negative impact to the area due to its busy location.

Sandtown Project

The Sandtown-Winchester Square project was part of a broader revitalization of this historic area. Eastwood entered into a contractual relationship with Struever Bros, Eccles & Rouse, Inc. who served as the General Contractor on this phase of the revitalization of this area.

Eastwood completed a total of 134 townhouses of different sizes which included the caulking & painting of the interior and exterior surfaces of these homes. Here we learned the value of trade coordination which really launched Eastwood's ability to handle residential painting on a commercial type schedule and scale.>

Eastwood has been involved with painting projects at various locations for Anne Arundel Co. Schools for many years and continues to work for the AAPCS on a yearly basis.
